Made for documenting your life, built to endure decades. Not mass produced, carefully crafted by hand since 2012.
Material: Thick, vegetable tanned full grain Italian cowhide. It is firm, pliable, and develops a rich patina that records your history. Edges finished to a smooth shine.
Capacity: Four durable 2mm elastics hold 4 inserts. Made for thick journals
Compatibility: These covers are compatible with all standard journal inserts from any brand.
Customization: Hand stamped using brass type in Times New Roman or tiny sans serif Helvetica Neue. I use heat and pressure for a permanent, deep emboss. No foil Embossing as it does not meet my quality standards.
Personalization and Options
Embossing: I can emboss anywhere on the journal. Specify your preferred placement.
Hardware: grommets are not required for durability but if you like the aesthetic, you can choose gold or silver from the drop down options.
Elastics: Your choice of elastic color can be selected from the menu.
Charms: All charms are sold separately.
Authenticity: Expect natural variances and occasional tannery stamps on the interior. These are signs of high end full grain leather.

I am in love with my journal cover. I chose the violet colour and it is aging so beautifully. I have 3 notebooks inside it and I could definitely squeeze in another if I wanted to. Alyssia was so wonderful to work with and her craftmanship is fantastic.
This is actually my second purchase. My first was an oxblood in A5 and I fell so in love with it I needed an A6 immediately.
I got the red with silver elastic. I purchased a small star for the side and a black and silver geode for the clasp. The leather is beautiful and soft but firm enough to feel sturdy. It comes with 4 elastic already and they also include extra bands in your color and in black.
Stunned as always by the quality for the price, even the box and bag it comes in feels luxury. I just know I'll be making another purchase soon as I'm slowly replacing the journals I have with these 😄
This is now my second time ordering from forest nine and as expected the quality is amazing! An issue had come up with my order but Alyssia was extremely fast to resolve it. I now have 3 leather journal covers and I couldn't recommend this business enough ☺️

I ordered the B5 trifold cover and it's gorgeous. It's very difficult to find leather covers this size, so this is a true gem! I really appreciated all the little details that came with the cover: the handwritten note, extra elastics in different colours that match the cover, the dust bag, etc. And the customer service is above expectations. Very happy with this product and I highly recommend it!
