As the journals are handled they will gain unique markings, making them even more personal and truly one of a kind. Each journal is made to order and is personalized by hand in my small workshop. PERSONALIZATION INFO / HOW TO?
‣ You can leave a note at checkout or email me after checkout.
‣ Each individual brass letter is placed by hand
‣ Heat and pressure is used for embossing to ensure a quality & lasting imprint. (superior to laser engraving)
‣ Choose to personalize with your name, date, initials or special words.
‣ The font will be times new roman.
‣ I will choose the size type that suits your request best - going with large or small where it makes sense aesthetically.
‣ All sentence case will be done in 24 pt (the smaller letters shown in examples)
‣ The larger letters are only available in uppercase.
‣ Embossing is available on the front side only
‣ Since leather is a natural material, please expect slight variances & imperfections.

My Forest Nine journal is more beautiful than I ever imagined. The owner, Alyssia, was very patient with me when I had trouble checking out and immediately responded to my email and sent me a custom link (since my old brain just didn’t get it). Her responsiveness and kindness made the actual purchase feel so good and so right. Before sending it, she checked in with me to make sure everything was done as I wanted. I already knew it would be something great, but it was even better! The leather is soft and supple and feels like a cloud in my hands…and it smells AMAZING! My Forest Nine journal is enchanting! I have many (too many) leather journals and 3 that are my favorite, but this new one holds a completely separate place in my heart. I am in love with my journal cover. I chose the violet colour and it is aging so beautifully. I have 3 notebooks inside it and I could definitely squeeze in another if I wanted to. Alyssia was so wonderful to work with and her craftmanship is fantastic.
This is actually my second purchase. My first was an oxblood in A5 and I fell so in love with it I needed an A6 immediately.
I got the red with silver elastic. I purchased a small star for the side and a black and silver geode for the clasp. The leather is beautiful and soft but firm enough to feel sturdy. It comes with 4 elastic already and they also include extra bands in your color and in black.
Stunned as always by the quality for the price, even the box and bag it comes in feels luxury. I just know I'll be making another purchase soon as I'm slowly replacing the journals I have with these 😄
This is now my second time ordering from forest nine and as expected the quality is amazing! An issue had come up with my order but Alyssia was extremely fast to resolve it. I now have 3 leather journal covers and I couldn't recommend this business enough ☺️
