A handcrafted A4 trifold leather journal cover made from thick full grain Italian vegetable tanned leather. Designed as a luxury refillable notebook cover, this oversized leather cover is made to hold A4 notebooks, planners, sketchbooks, loose documents, project notes, printed pages, client notes, and professional documents in one lasting cover.
The classic trifold design wraps fully around your inserts, protecting the exposed edges while giving you room to carry a thicker stack. This version includes a large pocket on the right side flap, made to hold a notepad, loose papers, sketches, receipts, documents, meeting notes, or planning pages.
Inside, 4 durable 2mm elastics hold multiple A4 notebook inserts securely in place. Inserts are not included, so you can use your preferred A4 notebooks, planners, sketchbooks, or refillable journal inserts.
Each Forest Nine cover is handcrafted to order in Canada using real, thick, full grain leather. The leather will soften, darken, mark, and develop a rich patina with daily use, making every cover more personal over time.

A4 Size Info
Fits A4 notebooks, planners, sketchbooks, and inserts up to approximately 9 x 12". This size is ideal for large format planning, sketching, project work, client notes, professional documents, loose pages, and people who want more room on the page.
The wraparound trifold flap is made to close around a thick stack, including multiple A4 inserts, hardcover notebooks, and papers carried in the right flap pocket.
Leather Info
Made from full grain vegetable tanned leather, chosen for strength, structure, and the way it ages. Full grain leather keeps the natural surface of the hide, making it durable, long lasting, and rich in character.
With use, the leather will develop a patina. It may darken, soften, scuff, and mark over time. Slight variations and natural markings are expected and are part of real leather.
Personalization
Personalization is done by hand using individual brass letters with heat and pressure for a deep, lasting imprint. Choose a name, initials, date, short phrase, or leave the cover blank.

Trifold with full back pocket, secretarial pocket + small pocket
I am in love with my journal cover. I chose the violet colour and it is aging so beautifully. I have 3 notebooks inside it and I could definitely squeeze in another if I wanted to. Alyssia was so wonderful to work with and her craftmanship is fantastic.
This is actually my second purchase. My first was an oxblood in A5 and I fell so in love with it I needed an A6 immediately.
I got the red with silver elastic. I purchased a small star for the side and a black and silver geode for the clasp. The leather is beautiful and soft but firm enough to feel sturdy. It comes with 4 elastic already and they also include extra bands in your color and in black.
Stunned as always by the quality for the price, even the box and bag it comes in feels luxury. I just know I'll be making another purchase soon as I'm slowly replacing the journals I have with these 😄

I ordered the B5 trifold cover and it's gorgeous. It's very difficult to find leather covers this size, so this is a true gem! I really appreciated all the little details that came with the cover: the handwritten note, extra elastics in different colours that match the cover, the dust bag, etc. And the customer service is above expectations. Very happy with this product and I highly recommend it!
